Sorry big bro' but we are going to do this on our terms! So this is the latest info on the February reunion, but remember things may change a bit, but not much so make plans to come!
- Saturday Feb16, 2013 at the Yambilee building in Opelousas
- we plan on having an anticipated mass celebrated by one of our own, the Reverand Jason Vidrine.
- bring your own ice chest
- we will serve gumbo and or jambalaya (volunteer chefs wanted)!!
- bring your camera's and video cam corders! we want to record and preserve as many of the old stories as we can before it is too late!
- we will have family information there ready to be shared
- feel free to bring a folding/collaspible chair if you have special needs... those metal folding chairs are not the most comfortable I have ever experienced... but, they are provided!!!!
- We plan on charging $15 at the door to cover the cost of the building & food.
I am checking into getting scanners/coppiers etc there to be available to save and share photo's and news article that people bring on that day.
Hey, if you have some old family photo's and are not exactly sure who the people are.... bring those with you , hopefully, there will be someone there who will remember!!
Feel free to email me: creolecousins@gmail.com or upload some photo's to our facebook page creole cousins, a family reunion, (just make sure you tag the people or identlify them)
This wont be perfect, but the idea is to enjoy each other's company, re-connect our family, share our history and introduce our children to some awesome people!
